In 1909, took the name from Karl Benz (German engine designer and automotive engineer who is widely known as “the father of the car” and “father of the automobile industry”) designed the new logo. This logo features a laurel wreath to symbolize victory dating back to ancient Greece, a custom-made sans-serif typeface in a circular form with double outlines.
1916
In 1916, the first version of the famous three-point star emblem came into existence. The star was designed in white colors with gold inside and outside outlines. The logo features red color to symbolize power, a sans-serif typeface, and golden outlines.
1926
In 1926, the Mercedes company merged with the Benz & Cie. company to form Daimler-Benz AG, now known as Mercedes-Benz. The merger was prompted by financial difficulties faced by both companies in the aftermath of World War I.
