Mercedes-Benz is a German luxury car manufacturer rooted in the late 19th century. The company was founded in 1926 by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler, who each had separate companies that produced automobiles and engines. The two companies merged to form Daimler-Benz AG, which later became Mercedes-Benz.

The first Mercedes-Benz vehicle was the Mercedes 35hp, introduced in 1901. This car established the brand’s reputation for producing high-quality vehicles with advanced engineering and innovative technology. Over the years, Mercedes-Benz has continued to push the boundaries of automotive design and engineering, with notable achievements such as the first production car with a diesel engine and the first car with a hybrid drive system.

Throughout the 20th century, Mercedes-Benz vehicles were synonymous with luxury and were favored by the wealthy and famous. In the post-World War II period, the company expanded its offerings to include a broader range of vehicles, including the popular “Gullwing” 300SL sports car and the versatile “Fintail” sedans and coupes.

In the 21st century, Mercedes-Benz continues to be a leader in the automotive industry, with a range of vehicles, including luxury cars, SUVs, vans, and buses. The brand’s reputation for advanced technology, engineering excellence, and design innovation remains unchanged.
